HNT

I've been really tired this week. Can you tell? Who wants to take a nap?

Happy HNT!

Okay....

...so I figured out a way to look at everyone's blogs while at work. However, it won't let me leave a comment on your blogs. I can read your comments, but I can't leave one. So I guess I am still stuck commenting hours after you all post. This is sooo frustrating!!! Anyone have any suggestions?

This is how I'm feeling:

Bitch, Gripe, Moan & Complain

That's right...in this post I have a lot of bitching I'm gonna do. It all has to do with the Internet here. You would think, that with all these troops here that there would be better Internet access. But there is not!

I kid you not...It took me 15 tries to be able to open my blog and read everyone's comments. 15 tries!!!! So you know if it took me 15 tries to get to my own blog, how big of a pain in the ass it is to get to all your blogs.

I wish I could blog from work. But the Department of Defense has decided to blog all websites that has blogspot on it. Nevermind members of Congress fought them not to do that as blogs are a good way for troops to keep in touch with their families. Want to know what is funny? It blocks all blogspot sites, but not wordpress sites. How ridiculous is that? Also what is funny is that I can log into my blog to post...but I can't look at it. Ain't it all just a kick in the head?

So I then go home to bad Internet where I try and visit mine and all of your blogs. But seeing that I work nights here in Baghdad and we are 8 hours ahead, I don't get to your blogs till midnight Eastern Standard time. So I am getting to your blogs...I just get there a little late and with a lot of frustration!

Okay...I'm done spewing my hate and discontent. Enjoy a new poster:

Dropping a Dime

HNT Update: My stick-on tattoo means spirit.

Check out this fool:

Oh yes...this cat was hitting on Miss Pud bad! Not just hitting on...but practically stalker her. So much so, that he thought he would impress Miss Pud by sending her this pic. Someone needs to learn his way around spell check, as that is not how you spell awesome. I could have embarrassed him even more by leaving in his name. But I thought plastering his pic on the Internet would be bad enough. I'm happy to report he has left Miss Pud alone and life is good for her. Only good thing to come out of him annoying Miss Pud is that he did teach her how to use the program to make those kinds of posters. It amuses her. So you may see more in the future. Like this one:

HNT

Check it out...I got a tattoo while I was home on vacation. Guess what it means in Chinese.

Nah...I'm just kidding ya! I didn't get a tattoo. This is one of those stick-ons you can get at Claire's. But do guess what it means. Here's a hint: it's nothing dirty.

Happy HNT!

p.s. Due to the time difference over here, the earliest I can get around to commenting on everyone's blog is midnight Eastern Standard time on August 16/17. So it's not that I'm being rude...just have a time difference issue.

How to get free stuff

There is not much to do in a war zone. You pretty much just go to work, eat, sleep and repeat it all the next day. In your free time you can work-out, watch movies or play cards. Thrill a minute going on over here!

Well, local Iraqis are allowed to come on base once a week to peddle their goods to us. We here call it "Haji Mart". Again ~ we are so politically correct around here.

Anyhoo...

Their biggest money maker that they make from us Americans are bootlegged movies. Oh yeah...you know the kind, somebody sitting in a movie theater with a video camera. So we here in Iraq do get to see new movies that come out. I got to see Shrek the Third it's opening weekend as well as Pirates of the Caribean. Granted, the quality isn't that great, but we still get to see them.

One day I'm at Haji Mart checking out some movies, when I saw that there were sodas in glass bottles in a cooler. I was so jazzed out to see soda in a bottle because all soda here is in a can (yeah...it's the little things around here that amuse me ~ shut up!) So I take two sodas up to the Haji dude to ask him how much for the soda. Seeing that it is hotter than all get out here in Iraq, I was wearing a skimpy little spaghetti strap tank top. Kind of like this one:

The Haji dude, turns around to look at me and immediately locked his eyes on my chest and he said: "They're free".

Seeing that I went to Haji Mart with some of my male coworkers...I got to hear so much shit about: that if I wasn't a chick, I would have never of gotten that soda for free. So now, the fun joke (to them) around the office is: "Hey Pud, I'm thirsty. How about going and getting us some free bottle soda." They have also put up a sign that says: To get Free Stuff in Iraq, you have to be the following:

- Be Pud
- Be Good Looking
- Be Attractive
- And Don't Be Unattractive

Jealous haters! That's all they are.

Oh How I Missed Blogging

I've decided that if I am to ease back into blogging, I need to get back in touch with my blog. As you can see, I've decided to simplify my blog. No more flashy do-hickies and what-not....just simple.

I've also missed seeing all your blogs. With the Internet here willing, I'm going to make it a point to stop by all your blogs everyday to say "Hi!"

I've also missed taking those quirky blog quizzes like this one:

64%

I was kind of disappointed that I only got 64%. I just knew I was zombie surviving material. So everyone...go now and see how well you would survive a zombie catastrophe.

I'm Back in Iraq

Yes folks……I went back. But I only have 4 months left or 112 days. Not that I’m counting. I had a great visit with my family and I made sure to take in every virtue and vice the U.S. has to offer.

I’ve got a few “war stories” to tell…don’t worry….they’re funny. And I hope to be participating in HNT again soon.

So…. I will see you around the Blog World!

Go Steelers!!

Oh yeah! It's football season again baby!! I was having me some serious football withdrawal going on.

It's going to be an interesting year for the Steelers with a new coach, no more Joey Porter and to see if Rothlisberger can get his head out of his ass. Oh yeah...going to be an interesting season indeed!
